What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is a continuous practice that we can bring into our lives at home, at work, at school and in our communities to live life with more awareness, love, peace and joy.
By bringing mindfulness into our daily activities - such as walking, sitting, eating, studying, drinking, waiting to check out at the shops, talking to a friend and hugging a loved one - we can nourish peace, calm, and joy in ourselves and therefore, share it with others.
Investment: $52 USD per person (includes healthy vegan lunch and kombucha)
Open to all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners welcome. No prior mindfulness or meditation experience required. Young adults aged 12+ are also welcomed to join.
Space is limited. Register in advance to save your space.
about the retreat facilitator & yiv founder, Victoria nhan
Victoria is an experience yoga and mindfulness teacher, trainer and Reiki Master. Victoria first started yoga as a physical exercise practice - she loved the post-yoga feeling after a power or hot flow class (especially during Canadian winters!). As she continued to deepen her practice, she realized that the mat wasn't just a place to sweat, it was a place to breathe freely, to connect, to balance, and to harmonize the mind, body and spirit.
She believes that the practice is magic; whether we're looking to move, flow and discover our bodies or simply learn to breathe deeply with awareness and joy, yoga and mindfulness give us the space and tools to do so. Yoga & Mindfulness continue to be a practice that nourishes Victoria both on and off the mat. Victoria's teachings and practice draw on her own experience and transformation through yoga, mindfulness and Reiki, and builds on the simple question, "how can we live life with more love, peace, and joy?". She is also the Founder of Yoga in Vietnam - Vietnam's first and only resource for all things yoga in the country, connecting and deepening the growing yoga community in Vietnam. To learn more about Victoria, visit her website www.victorianhan.com.
Victoria's practice is based on the Zen Buddhist teachings of the Vietnamese monk Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village spiritual community. The retreat is open to all backgrounds and religious traditions.
